3 Natural Christmas Gift Ideas for the Hard-to-Buy-For Healthy Friend
So you've got that super healthy friend that seems to have every health gadget to track their steps, natural anti-aging face creams to combat wrinkles, the latest boho yoga gear, tooth whitening charcoal clay powder and of course even natural bamboo makeup brushes too?! You are stuck wondering what on earth do I buy this healthy person who has everything and needs nothing? My suggestion is to not be looking to buy them anything, but rather to DIY and give a gift from the heart instead. A gift from the heart always tells someone how much you love them and know what their passions are in their life.
Here are three gifts that any health-conscious friend would love to receive (and they also happen to be ones that I plan to make for my loved ones this Christmas!):
1. Homemade Grain-Free Granola. Make a huge batch of this yummy and healthy coconut oil based, grain free granola filled with nuts and seeds with heart healthy fats for a satisfying breakfast or snack. Put in mason jars, wrap with a Christmas ribbon and make a handmade gift tag too (or recycle last years' Christmas cards). I like to add some pumpkin spice to this recipe too in addition to the cinnamon because who says pumpkin spice is only for the fall anyway? Try also throwing in some dark chocolate chunks or cacao nibs at the end after it is cooled off. Yum!
2. Sleep Like a Baby Sleepy Time Body Balm. This is a great gift for the friend that always tells you she/he has trouble sleeping. Show him/her that you actually listen to their woes and want to help them from your heart. This homemade DIY sleepy time balm makes a great little gift in a little glass jar or tin that you throw into their stocking or add with another small item. It shows you care and love them. The essential oils that it contains are calming and induce relaxation. Makes a great moisturizing balm too! Here are my DIY tins of balm below all wrapped up for stocking stuffers.
3. Natural Make-Up Brush Cleansing Spray. Go to the dollar store and buy nice little spray bottles and whip up a batch of this clean and natural make-up brush cleanser to keep those natural bamboo make-up brushes free from bacteria that causes acne breakouts. You can also use this cleansing spray to clean your dry brush once a week to keep it free from bacteria.
